Service number for a 91 3.1L

I took my car to the mechanic and he said that he can't get the car to run or start for anything but that my car was throwing codes like crazy which brought him to the conclusion that the ECM is shot. I found one on hawk's for $100 minus shipping but it's asking for the service number, where can I find this? And do you guys know if this comes with the chip (?) and is the ECM the same for both V6s and V8s?

If you guys know of where I might find one cheaper with a warranty please let me know, thanks

All I can tell you is that the mechanic is probably right about the ECM, generally when they spit codes galore thats the problem.

It's a 730... Go to a junkyard and you can probably find one in any number of cars for $30 or so... Or less.

Sorry...

If any had any to spare (definitely getting that QP next week if I can get the car for a day), I'd probably pay for half of it. I'm looking for those numbers like a hawk.
