92 is sputtering/chugging to stay alive

I have a 92' 3.4 V6 Camaro that has a push starter and and toggle switch fan built in. It seems to have trouble while driving, but didn't have this problem last month. It will be fine and won't have any problems for a small time, but then the engine sputters and will either die or return to life. During this sputtering moment, reving the engine does not seem to work, as it does not gain any rpms. I've checked the fuses and wires, and nothing seems to be wrong. The spark plugs and wires are in perfect condition too. Can anyone give me any advice? Thank you.
