engine question

hey all
I had an '82 EL Camino, it had a 229. I was wondering how hard and if it would be possible to put that in a firebird that has a 2.8 MPFI.???

the next question could be remade into a MPFI?????

Re: engine question

Anything's possible, although a quick google search found http://www.elcaminocentral.com/showthread.php?t=627 which says that the 229 only made 110 horsepower; so it'd be a downgrade, but if you were OK with that, sure why not. People make custom fuel injection $ystem$ for anything.

Re: engine question

i know what it said but I also know I got more out of it with a little work, the last change I made to it was put 350 piston's, cam up grade, and a couple of other things using the same block but the biggest thing if this engine can fit then the newer 4.3l can be put in.
