Re: rear end

Uh...as much as I would like to provide some helpful info there isn't really a question in there...what is it you're trying to find/figure out o.O? If you just want to put in better gears summitracing has them, and from what I have heard, I don't think it matters which size you get as long as its for a 3rd gen, but doublecheck that on the drivetrain board first...

Re: rear end

a 2.77 gear will lower your rpms per any given speed. mpg on the hwy should get better around town may or may not change much...lower rpms but, takes a little more grunt work from the motor to get rolling. that being said, "hole shots" will be non-existent. If you have a mini spool and just want to get rid of it, put a posi in it.

Re: rear end

you need a posi carrier to replace the mini spool one....and someone jog my memory on what exactly a mini spool is?

Re: rear end

its basically a light weight, solid carrier. no spider gears, clutch packs, nothing...just solid.

you need a posi for the rear in the car or a gear set for the 9 bolt and hope the posi is good in it.
