my throttle/accelerator cable just broke in my 85 2.8l.

i cant seem to find a new replacement anywhere. anyone know if one from a 305 works?

dont think so, the ones for the v8s are diffrent...post a picture of it i have one sitting in my garage i dont need if its the same as yours ill sell it to you. mine came off a 92 v6 motor

Is it the cable or the plastic piece that hooks onto the throttle?

If its the plastic piece just go to a transmission shop and tell them. They'll have them. I couldn't find it at any auto store then I said **** it and just went to a tranny shop and got it.
