Any hybrid 3.4/3400's?

I've always wanted to build an RWD 3.4 block with the flat top pistons, use the FWD aluminum heads for airflow and 13:1 compression or so, cam it, and build a custom six one barrel carb intake with chrome velocity stacks through the hood, and run it on E85 to quell the compression.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

I haven't seen that exact combo, but sounds interesting.

I would opt for EFI over carb though.

It can run better with efi. Purple82ta has individual throttle bodies on his 3500 and it looks pretty killer.

Velocity stacks sticking thourgh the hood with individual carbs would be a show stopper and sound great, though.

Mixing and matching said parts would create a thirsty, great looking, fast, high CR motor...

Fixed

While i understand the need for an engine to "look cool" that certainly doesn't dictate how it will perform. You need to spend some time researching things before throwing a bunch of crap at the wall to see what sticks. tuning 6 small carbs will be a nightmare. If one float sticks you're screwed.

Use 3.4 DOHC pistons and 3500 heads, keep it fuel injected. With the right cam you should make some decent power. Just be sure to use a good timing chain and check your piston to valve clearances. Too much exhaust duration and you'll have a paperweight.
