Oh ya the whole thing behind what im gonna do is it adjusts how much fuel goes into your engine if its warm less fuel if it reads the air is cold more fuel.. So it will drop gas mialage but ill be gettin a bigger burn in my engine cuz of the increased gas flow ill probly do this saturday or next week for sure...

I think you guys are probably talking about the MAF or MAT sensor..

the IAC is the Idle Air Control valve which is located on the throttle body, you can't relocate this unless you relocate the entire throttle body.

Instead of messing with your wiring (you'll be sorry later on down the line)

go for some stuff that really does add power. Get a set of roller tipped rocker arms. Valve lash is a real pain in the butt.. but to install rocker arms, you don't have to remove any camshaft, heads or engine or anything.. you just remove the valve covers.

You can go with 1.52:1 roller tipped rocker arms which will give you a little bit more power, or you can go with 1.6s which would be like installing a new camshaft.

I really REALLY suggest you take a look at the e-mail I posted here about porting and polishing. I did this to my Fiero (same motor you've got in your Firebird) and the thing runs like a damn bat out of hell. I'm pulling high 6s easy now where as before I was running mid high 7s. I did a few other things too of course, exhaust, cat, ported exhaust manifolds.. that stuff...

check it out on here..

it's "PORTING AND POLISHING RESULTS!!"

I have a fastchip and love it too..... I had a hypertech unit and it was the biggest waste of 100 bucks. I have the 106 thermostat and I have my fan rigged to always run once the car is on and I stay pretty cool.

Brain fart, I didn't think IAC sounded right, we're tlaking about the IAT sensor, incoming air temperature, located in your air filter canister, or mine is located right off the MAF now, soon to be moved.
