to the moderator.

hey, can we post our v6 racing stories here, as most people know some v6's are beating v8's and it'd be better to post the stories on this board to avoid flames on the racing board.

Amen. Besides, throw in a tech concern at the end of a long race story. Then it's tech, right Johnny Ray? BTW, do you even own a 6? (JR I mean?)

I agree with my fellow moderator just add some tech info in the story somewhere.

No decisions are up to me. I'm not the one who created this board nor do I moderate anything. I'm just a guy that plays by the rules of the people that has brought these boards back up. If I am not mistaken you should be asking Graeme'sFirebird or CC_HotRod if a tech concern at the end of a long race story works on this board. They would be the ones who determine important decisions such as that. People who are slowly returning to thirdgen.org will be testing the limits as to how far they can go. The more locked threads due to these 'experiments' in posting will ultimately determine our guidelines.

is this even really a tech v6 board, or just a general v6 board such as the old one? :P

See, I don't care for the limitations too much, and I've noticed you making comments on everyone who broke them, but, seeing as you're a self-proclaimed nobody, I'll make it a point to ignore you from now on.

IMHO the V6 board should be allowed to be a general board, tech, non tech, and otherwise so we don't have to put up with V8 flaming a$$holes. If this whole non tech thing is going to be so rediculously strictly enforced, we may be better off back at 3rdgen.org.

needed tech part---> does anyone think I can build a 3.4 with nitrous and a 4.5-6 PSI blower without extensively rebuilding the bottom end? Graeme says it can be done, but I"m skeptical. Other input?

V8 flaming a$$holes? I think I see the first one here that started name-calling. I'm just a guy that would help anyone that needs it. I have gotten alot of good information off these boards and beleive I have helped others along the way. I lose nothing if I don't lose the lesson. And you my friend have taught me a lesson I will remember. It's no wonder the moderators are trying to keep the topics in synch with each forum.

well Technically JR, that wasn't directed at you, it was directed at a group of people who we all know exist, a group of people who believe that v8 is the way to go and all other engines should be melted down, and reconstructed in big blocks. I, like many other's here, believe that a car's a car, and an engines an engine, and if my car is faster than your car, i don't deserve to hear a bunch words like "B.S., Can't Be, or Your just stupid" as my consequence for having a faster car.

reno, pretty much id say it depends on the mileage on the motor your using and how big of a shot of NOS your wanna run.. id say, if your gonna use NOS and boost, id at least go with some new rods.. maybe not a full rebuild, just the heavily worn stuff, rods, rings, rear main, etc... also im not sure about the compression changes running boost and nos.. really might wanna do some research so ya dun kill your motor..
