putting the 3.4 headers on

I just ordered a set of 3.4 Pacesetter headers for my car( almost sold them because they wouldnt fit without header modifications) I was hoping to have a custom y-pipe made being that the headers would clear the frame, but the passenger side header wouldnt clear, so I;m MAKING THEM FIT! My grandpa and I bent the passenger side header to where it would fit into my thirdgen firebird by heating them up with a torch then beding them, while glowing red. Now it fits in perfect . TThe driver side header should be very easy to do, since it already fits, but at the angle it has towards the crossmember I was concerned about the custom y-pipe not being able to work, so this Friday I'll bend it a little bit to give more clearance. Other than that its not to hard so far. The best part about the whole thing is that my grandpa has a 3. junker firebird siitng behind the garage, so we just pulled parts off it to get the headers on........that way I wouldnt have to take my car araprt and put it all back togther again.
BTW what should I do when I cruise to the muffler shop open headered? Its going to be LOUD.

Car: 1987 Camaro LT
Engine: modifide 2.8L
Transmission: 5 speed
3.1 : I'm asuming you have the 3.4 header for the 4th gens?.. I'm wondering where you got them and how much they cost. I REALY would like a set of headers for my 2.8, and its at this point, either I do like you are or modify a set of S-10 headers

Congrats, 3.1!!! I was hoping you'd make those headers fit! I can't even imagine what your car's going to sound like on the way to the muffler shop... Record it!

Get some times as soon as you get that exhaust put back together, and let us know how those headers affected your performance!
