Where can I find a new shift **** for a 700R-4 tranny in a camaro. Will the Side button ***** work with the Camaro shifter. I have a round black top button **** that I don't like. Will a Firebird **** work???

 

I don't know about the firebird shifter but if you want any other style shifter you will have to replace the whole shifter not just the **** b/c the round **** mounts differently than say the square type on a RS. The round **** is held in place by a "C" clip under the button where the square type **** is held in place by a clip on the side thus making a groove in the shifter for the clip to catch into. If you wanted to stick with the round **** you could always upgrade to a leather one like the ones on the IROC.
