255 lph fuel pump swap-need help

The Pump I got doesn't exactly match up with the stock setup, the rubber coupler thing is different, it has a different electrical connector and the biggest thing worrying me is that it came with a hose, and stock setup doesn't really need/use one anywhere, and anytime there is a leftover part you can't help but wonder if you put something together wrong...will upload pics in a minute.

Re: 255 lph fuel pump swap-need help

Alright read up on the pulsator bit, going to ditch that, from what I understand of the sock i just have to line it up as best i can and make sure the pump wont go anywhere, now I just need to find out how to splice in the wiring-I'm concerned about just electrical taping it since its an electrical lead that goes in the gas tank...

Ok only thing now is Idk if the wire leads can be left bare or not, or if I need a heatshrink, and if so what kind could be used in fuel system, I am thinking they can be left bare though since the original setup uses bare terminals, I would like to electrical tape them but am hesitant since it might degrade and clog up the brand new fuel pump....

Use heatshrink that doesn't have the glue coating on the inside or crimp connections.
