i can't find map censer, vacuum ball or cruise controle censer.
these were things i read a lot about while trying to figure the car out. i don't think my car ever had any of them but just to be sure i think you could help me further.

and my newest problem. the mice that were in the car before i got it, had chewed a little of my wire harness. i am in the move to take apart the dash and work on fixing the problem and see if there is further problems. so far it only looks to be two wires.

thank you for any and all help

Re: Did I get this right?

You'll know if you hooked up the HVAC vacuum lines right when you fire up the engine. If they're backwards, you'll only get heat out of the defroster vents and no others, no matter where you put the lever, because there will be no vacuum in the system and the default safety position is "Defrost".

Depending on what broke on the EGR tubing, you may be replacing the solenoid.

There is no map sensor. The vacuum ball is UNDER the battery, UNDER the tray, BEHIND THE DRIVER'S SIDE FENDER. The Cruise Servo is the UFO-looking thing next to the battery. Follow the long cable from the throttle lever (not the green thing on it or the gas pedal connection, the cruise cable has the elongated slot to allow the throttle to work without the cruise) to the servo. It's mounted on the driver's side strut tower behind the windshield washer tank.

Re: Did I get this right?

i have no vacuum ball and no servo. i don't think my car ever had cruise control. i am just stating them to see if people think i was supposed to have them. my car seems to be bare bone base model

and my car doesn't start yet. i am trying to get everything connected right before i change the fluids and see if i can get them started.

Even if you don't have cruise control, you still have the vacuum ball... Even the base barebones completely-unoptioned 84 4-banger Camaro in the junkyard I regularly visit has the ball... Unless some idiot busted it off.
