Ok, I haven't asked this on this board before (apologies to Tom P...I bugged him about this 6 months ago over at v6fbody.com), so here goes.

My car uses approximately 2 quarts of oil every 3,000 miles. It's got 86k miles on it...a very EASY 86k miles, I might add. Especially compared to 90% of the Fbodies out there....It's always had the oil changed every 3k miles, and has been using oil since it had 35-40k miles or so, according to my dad.

Now, my valve seals are a little bad, but not as bad as some I've seen, and yet their cars use less oil than mine!! It doesn't leak anywhere either. Should I be concerned about this?? I mean, I know oil usage is somewhat common, and this one has done it for a LONG time...but should I be concerned? Other than this, its the tightest 2.8 I've seen...no knocking, pinging, nothing.

Any suggestions or advice is very appreciated!!

i dont think so...im running mobil 1 synthetic and i usually pour another quart in every 2 months... and i dont drive really that much
