This happened with my car, but going from 2nd to 3rd. I thought it was a vacuum problem, but all I did was readjust the TV cable and now it shifts fine.

my bird used to do that, but only when my tranny fluid was real low, (i've got a leak.) also, my car never shifted at 55mph into 3rd, it was always around 70-75mph. So, you just might need to adjust that tv cable. tell us how it works

thanks guys, but how do I adjust the TV cable, i can't find anything to adjust with, I mean no screws or so and there are 3 cables at the throttle, 2 are plastic covered
and 1 is a steel wire.
also I have to say is that I have new headgaskets and heads are magnufluxed, also a new distributercap. Could it be a timing problem? and is 10° over 0°o.k.?(auto tranny)
thanks for your ideas
