Looking to pull the engine (3.1) from my firebird and use it in a truck (4.3), is there a TBI intake that will work for this?

 

Not to my knowledge, but I doubt that 3.1 will be able to do much in that truck.

 

Well I had a 84 S10 with the 2.8 V6 and got around in it for years. The 3.1 has to be a little better I would think.

 

Oh, I see. I thought you meant you were putting the 3.1 in a truck that used to have a 4.3.

 

Use a tbi intake from a 86-92 s10 w/ a 2.8l, you know that the 2.8l & 4.3l use different bellhousings.

 

I had an S-10 with the TBI 2.8 as well, it was just fine. I have taken a 3.1 from a Firebird and put it in an S-10 where a blown up 2.8 came out and it was great. As mentioned above you will need a 2.8 transmission since the 4.3 uses the Chevy V-8 transmission bolt pattern.
