this is kinda sad to see.. i remember way back when the v6 board was just that, the v6 board.. since i dont know if it changed to the tech only v6 board and no one changed the name, or if now the non-tech aspect is finally being enforced.. granted there is a lot of fighting, and there always has been, as it has also always worked itself out with minimal intervention.. overall its kinda sad the board has come to this.. id be intrested in seeing what Dirk has to say.. about if this is a tech only board or what..

AGH, this is why I will never go back to or support V6fbody.com, all the goofy stuff like this and here I am adding to it So is this now a tech only v6 board? What's going on to bring all this out? I have read or seen anything that is not of the highest quality by all parties. This is (was I hope not) the greatest third gen v6 board on the planet..

I feel the same as Brian...I don't wanna add to the fire (I added plenty when it came to cats ), but there is one thing I would like to say.

This is the best damn board out there...period. I have gotten more help here than I possibly could anywhere else. Tom, Brian, Graemes, Kevin, Reno, and several others here have helped me and my car a great deal in the few months I have been on here.

I would hate to see this board change from what it has always been...a board for anything V6 related. I mean, I am just as guilty as anyone when it comes to non-related posts (like my post about a new car). But where else can I get responses like the ones I get here?

NEThidgen.org is, granted, supposed to be the non-tech sister board to thirdgen.org. And while NEThidgen.org is an awesome board, my personal preference is this board (all due respect to nethirdgen). Hence why I have almost 700 posts here and 35 or so over there. This board is the only place V6 owners get ANY respect. I like it here, I like the people here, and I don't wanna have to go to a different board to get V6 based, but non-tech, questions answered.

I apologize to the moderators for adding more non-tech...but I thought it might help to have some open ideas about this board and its true intent.

Before I lock this post I am going to try to explain why. Whenever Graems's Firebird and myself accepted the responabilty as moderators we were asked to keep only tech questions on the board and to remind people that Mcgyver's site (www.nethirdgen.org) would handle all of the non-tech posts. I feel that we have been more than fair on some of the non-tech posts but as you can see some people are start to get carried away and start flame wars etc. so we have to crack down again.
This is in now way personal to any member it is just what is expected from us as moderators.
