Alright, I just thought it was worth calling up to the top and point out that someone picked up the 2.8 S-10 truck headers from Summit, and they boled right on, and for an auto tranny required NO modification, just a custom Y-pipe.
For the manual, I guess they had to do a little cutting, but still not 3.1 Firebird's episode of heating and bending with the 3.4 4th gen headers.
I figure I'll be getting a set of those, custom Y-pipe, a catco converter, and a dynomax cat back system. All together, should be swet sounding, relatively inexpensive, and WAY better then stock.

I for one would love to see a comparison of the primary tube length, from the heads to the start of the collector, for both the S10 headers and 3.4 Pacesetter headers. A comparison of the primary tube size would also be nice.
In theory those S10 headers should have longer tubes, designed for low-RPM towing/off-road power, but who knows?

Well, off the line pull is great, but where do you do most of your racing- in the low rpm range?
