oil pressure guage went wacko

Transmission: 700R4, 4L60E
Axle/Gears: 3.42 Open , 10 Bolt (ukn)
oil pressure guage went wacko
it was working just fine, and yesterday the stupid thing went past 80, and is burried there, and hasn't come back down. It's really strange, now i had the oil change on the new motor like i should, i guess i'll check the oil pressure sensor, does any one have another suggestions?
