It's probably the same procedure used for making the V8 stock FPR into an adjustable one. I believe the article's available through the tech section of thirdgen.org , or if you search the message boards for "adjustable fuel pressure" maybe you can turn up the instructions.

Actually, according to my manual, Checker, and some article I read somewhere, the FPR on a 2.8l MPFI is actually permanently attached to the fuel rail.. I suppose there are ways to replace it, but it's not nearly as simple as a TPI FPR mod... was looking into it a while back myself..

I'm gonna take a chunk out of the checker guy, but it's a Hayne's manual, so I can excuse their stupidity.. don't get me wrong, I like the manuals.. for the pictures. Where can you find an aftermarket AFPR for the 2.8 or will a TPI's AFPR swap in?

TPI unit swaps in. Also, the GM and Haynes books say that both the v6 and v8 FPR's aren't removable. Of course, like Mike said, what they say and what's real is two different things.
