OK I thought you mean t the new ones. I think the thing is back in the day you could get just about any option you wanted on a car. Like say my mom in 69 bought a Z/28 with te 302 and a M22 4-speed with 4.11 gears and had no problem getting the other limited options she wanted. On the other hand all she had to do was check another box on the order form and she could have had a different Cam and another box would give her the dual 4- barrel intake set up. Or say you wanted the Rs appearence package on the Z/28, No problem. The factory could do this then and did, because alot of dealers would put special orders in to get the cars like this. Then again I am sure that every now and then a good cam went into a engine here and there for test cars and the such. Yea and back in the late 60s opar had some damn fast cars. THoug not anymore.

86 Trans Am 355 TPI Rebuilt 700R4 with Corvette servo, modified valve body, and a B&M Torque Converter (2000 rpm stall w/ lock up), 87 350 block bored .30 with new crank, bearings, rings, and magnafluxed rods. Also there has been a PST front suspension kit with Hotchkis strut tower brace
