Werid idle need help

Ok about a week ago my car at idle sometimes gets really rough and now i notice when im driving betweed 1000RPM-2000RPM that when its at the same RPM for a min or so it will slighty rev u p and pull then stoppulling and pull again and stop pulling. I did a full tune up plugs cap rotor fuelfilter fuelinjector cleaner and its still doin it i thoght vacume leak but since there are only 3 vacumehoses that i know of they all look in good shape anyideas its really annoying the hell out of me and i want it to stop doin that i did advance my timeing to 12degrees but after i did that no problems but could it be the timeing or what could it be

The EGR was good my friend has a tester and it said it was ok... But now at idle im noticing that it will be fine at 750 then after 5 secionds at a stoplight it will drop to 500 rpm up to 1000 rpm back down and up then stay stedy at 1000 rpm and this is at every stoplight

Hey Graeme, if yer car has a MAF, check to see if it's been gutted.. my idle went completely to hell a few days after I took the screen outta mine.

same thing happened to me a few months back except it would die after idleing all wierd like for awhile. I took it to the shop and the only thing the guys could find wrong with it was a bad O2 sensor, a really dirty intake manifold(which is what they said the problem was), and a busted tranny mount(resulting from to much racing). If you got the extra money just take it to a shop and have them check it for ya.
