There was an article in a back issue of hot Rod that i found. It states something about installing limited slip, without dropping, and reinstalling a new posi axel. now in this they're talking about some new kit, that'll make up for the posi gears (it is posi gears), and can be installed at your local mechanic, well my question is, and i'll probably test it this summer, can you simply install the rear gear insides from a posi axel into the open rear end. I'm gonna find a differential this summer with posi, and open it and pull the gears out, then i'm gonna go over and see if i can swap those gears with some from another GM rear end. gotta see if it'll work. Any feedback.
