OK I smell GAS under the hood! I went up to the passenger side.. smelled faint odor of fuel. No drips on the ground this time, or if it was, it wasnt 100% fuel.

This happens intermittently, and the car drives fine. Will get it checked out soon..

is it a v6? injected? could possibly be a fuel pressure valve that's in the back of the throttle body that's used to test the fuel pressure, it was an issue i had. hope it helped =)

trace fuel lines down frame rail under brake parts, remove 10mm hold down clamp bolts n wiggle them. willl probably break in half like mine did.

Well you have a carb which I know little about, but could possibly just be from the fuel tank vapor vent which exits at the driver wheel well.
