Code 44

Hey guys, the other day my car threw a code 44, oxygen sensor lean. Any ideas about this one? I figure I might as well change the sensor this weekend since it's pretty warm. Other than replacing it, any ideas what the problem could be?

Thanks.

It could also be a melted wire from the oxy sensor. When you change the sensor, make sure the wire & connector in no way come near the exhaust piping. I melted the connector once; had to replace both ends ($15 or so)!
