I ROC catback and drive train

one of my blow the motor in his 88 IROC and desided to sell it. One of my other friends is going to buy it and said that if I help him get the motor, tranny, rearend and wheels I can have the rest.
My question is will I see any gains from the IROC catback? the car also as an aluminum drive train.
Whats the diffrents between a norml drive train and a aluminum drive train?

the aluminum driveshaft is lighter therefore easier to spin i guess. it reduces the amount of power that's lost while going from the motor to the wheels.
