raced a Celica GT

yeah, it was about a 1991-1992 model or so, anyway. We did it from a stop, and went from zero-fifty or so, and he actually beat me. Granted that he was paying attention to the light at the change, heck his tires had already spun before i hit the gas pedal, i didn't lose much room, just a door length, and then i held that door length and started to pull before he had to turn off. So, now i've raced 3 celica gt's all about the same model year, i walked all over my friends, this guy (also my friend) got me from paying attention to the light, but still, and one other dude who had ran against me, but his car was makign a whooshing sound (turbo?), and he spanked me good (that race was funny) anyway, does anyone know what those cars run in the 1/4 mile, just curious? also, has anyone noticed that membership is on an evil number right now? hehe

i seriously dislike celica's of all years. i dunno, i just think they are womanly cars. (i work for toyota and a lot of females own celica's....come to think of it, there is this one chick who is a stripper and we found pictures of her in the glovebox of her celica )oh, and one of my co-workers has a 1986 celica and he threw a 75 shot of nitrous on it so now it's the fastest car ever.

Well, I raced a 94 celica at Indianapolis raceway park in the 1/8th mile. He ran a 11.2something. I beat him in my 94 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, with a 10.6something. Maybe that will help tell you guys how fast they, or you really are.

I've raced a '99 Celica (Might've been a GT... didn't lose, so I couldn't see the back ) in my dad's '93 Cougar... The guy came up to the light like he wanted some, I powerbraked it and chirped the tires, he revved back, and it was on.... we staged up, light turned greed, I jumped him, he never caught up... man was he pissed. I saw him slam his hand on the steering wheel in my rear-view. I turned off, and he honked and waved, so he was pretty cool about it in the end.
