New owner - Where to get parts and trim

Hey guys. I just bought a running (barely) 1982 v6 on Sunday. I have been scouring the net looking for the best places to buy parts. I was hoping that you could give me the lowdown on the best places to get parts like:

1. Engine
2. Interior trim
3. Weatherstripping

So far, it looks like Next Generation is the ONLY place that helps out the 3rd Gen. Camaro guys? Can this be true? Is it really easier for me to get parts for my German and British cars than a good 'ol Chevy??? Tell me its not so!

I'd have to say that my bible would be Classic Industries Camaro catalog.... some stuff might be a little on the high side as far as price goes, but they've got a lot of stuff (even for us 3rd gen owners )...

Dont' forget the good 'ol junkyards, too.

Also, JC Whitney sells SoffSeal weatherstripping... and they're a major company, too. They don't carry much in the line of body panels though; and their body panels (fenders) are Japanese- cheaper quality. Getting a junkyard one is a better idea.

Also, check out http://www.1aauto.com for ACC carpet! I bought my ACC (GM authorized reproduction company!) carpet for $110; everywhere else wanted $110 for no-name carpet, and $170 for ACC stuff.

You can use seats from GM 2 & 4 door sedans, too. I found my original Firebird seats (found out they're "optional" trans am seats), in perfect condition, in a junkyard Pontiac 6000 S/E station wagon! All I did was unbolt the seats from the 'wagon, unbolt the seat rails from the seats, and put the new seats onto my Firebird seat rails. I got the seats for $10/each! It seems the same would work for cars like Cavaliers and Celebrities & etc. "Search" the Body/Interior message board for "seats", and my thorough message on that should pop up.

You can find ANYTHING for your interior at eBay. Don't even bother looking anywhere else. Excellent prices, other car guys selling (so you most likely won't get screwed (I never have), and you get the parts you need at the price you're willing to pay.
