My woman might become a regular member here...

I found an 86 V6 'bird out in Indiana, and she's thinking about getting it. Here's the kicker: It's got an M5 and 3.42 posi disc in the rear. She'll have toys to start with most of us have to save up for! Maybe I can convince her to let me do some swapping...

VERY COOL!
What was it with high performance suspension packages on V-6's, back then?
All I recall the buzz was (back then) was the 305 & 5 speed, TPI, and the upcoming (Corvette) 350 mill in a few years.
Man, I'd love to have a 3:42 posi disc in my car's rear.

I think the SE's stopped in '85. You'll have to dump a multiport intake/computer in there for her!

its an 84 SE carbed 2.8 (107 horses)
the steep rear end and manual tranny give it a little go.

i am not positive about it being 3.42, that was the standard for manual transmission. the center console lid was swapped for a better condition one, and the guy didnt give the RPO code sheet, snow on the ground has kept me from actually checking the rear.
