Well unless the custom pistons i had made fit into a 3.4L yup it is a 3.1L, funny, i payed around 350.00 a head from the GM dealer and had another 300 to 400 in head work done to get the heads to flow and work for me. Infact thats about right as a MAJOR part of the build money went into flow i.e. heads, intake and TB... Oh well, it was fun... I was in the car last week when the new owner handed a Lt1 firebird V8 his *** , it wasn't a total kill as we hung with him leading by a nose on NOS, it was a LT1 if i am thinking correctly. He has yellow V6 3.1L stickers on the side of the cowl on the hood and we got into a BIG debate on whether it was a V6 or V8 with the recently beaten V8... the look was VERY priceless when the hoods where popped on the 91 V6 and the 96. V8:P all the owner needs to do now is get headers made and tweek the car alittle bit and it should be done. He is planning on racing it at the dragway this summer from what he is saying.
