I'm ordering my exhaust right now, its the dynomax cat-back for 5.0 (3.1 v6 also)non high output. It has 2 1/2' inlet and I need to know what size outlet it has to know what size tips to order. Only definite sure answers wanted but any help appreciated.

Is it Dynomax #17493? All pipes are 2.5 inch, including the tailpipes. Dynomax flattened the ends of the tailpipes into turned-down, slash-cut ovals; if you want to add 2.5 inch tips, you'll have to cut off the slash-cut ends. I cut mine about an inch before the ends turned down.

Thanks for the info Tom and just to let everyone know, hooker tips (clasic european) look real sweet on a firebird! I should be receiving my setup:

dynomax "thrush" high-flow cat
2 hooker classic slash down tips

: by next week (middle of spring break for me).
