Motor Mount Removal Help
Motor Mount Removal Help
The motor mounts on my bird need to be replaced. I searched the forum and found that in order to eplace them I would need to drop the A-arms to get to the nuts on the bottom. Is this a V8 thing only??
Does anyone know an easier way?
Thanks
Dale

Don't believe everything you read. You can get the bolts off and on without removing the A-arms. Several others on here have found that out. Tomp is doing a swap right now on a 2.8 so hope he reads this, how he did it will be fresh in his mind. If he doesn't reply get in there and see for yourself. (I'd tell but my memory is failing) Would packing the socket with grease hold the nut? how about a piece of tape on the bottom side of the wrench? Smaller fingers, hey neighbor kid! Come here. How about you get 20 friends to come over and spin the car while you hold the oil filter, er wait, that's the oil filter won't spin solution. You get the idea don't you?

Hehe, I haven't gotten that far yet... still waiting on a day to go further with the swap!
