What is the manifold size? What cat to use?
I'm about to order a cat back for my 86 2.8 and there's just 2 things I gotta set strait first.
1. What is the size of the stock manifold where it enters the cat converter?
2. Does anyone have a part number for a Dynomax cat I can use? If not, recommend a cat and please give me the part number.
Thanks

Man, it's been a lonnnng time... uh, the y-pipe-to-cat diameter is 2.25 inch? 2.5"? Hm, never mind, it's been too long.
Summit ordered up my cat for me. It was by "Products for Power", which was supposedly a branch of Dynomax. I don't recall the part #, though. All I did was tell them the year/make/model/engine of my car, and they hooked me up for $62. It was a direct bolt-in, no welding required. Maybe if you give them a call they can look one up for you?
