How about an 20 minutes to correct the spelling?
I was informed I have a 3:42 open rear in my 1985 Firebird.
It has front disc brakes, as do ALL 3rd gen cars
If ya live in LA area, get a hold of me, email. I can use the engine. Not the tranny, tho. I need a 700R4.
Hey Dan, did you finish your tranny work, yet!

The gear ratios are on in the tech section.
I'm not aware of rear disc brakes being a common option on v6's, but I'm sure if someone *really* wanted one when they bought the car new they could have gotten them..

Hey Mark, Ked, maybe we could get together and work something out, cuz I could use all the tranny stuff (t5,hydraulics,bell,flywheel,clutch components) for most of a t5 swap, which I'm still in desperate need of.. if I keep having to nail it to hit 20-25 to get into third a cop's gonna grab me for exhibition of speed, toss me in jail, and take my license. =\

In search of new v8 engine & transmission, now contemplating t5 swap to get me out of this mess.
MSD coil, Accel 8mm wires, SplitFire plugs, Gabriel hijackers, possible performance chip I don't know about.. gotta crack open the ECM and check sometime

Tell me how one can get an engine from Canada to the states, cheap!
I can pick one outta the yard for cheaper.
I can put new head gaskets on my old 2.8 easier. I'm lazy & would rather....WIN THE LOTTERY SO I CAN GET A NEW BRAVADA.
And give Dan my S-10 Blazer, to fix my 700R4 and engine!
I hoping to hear great results from your tranny work!

Hmm...I'm debating back and forth whether or not to be a **** about this one. I mean on one hand, it's my job to lock this stuff, and on the other, you DID put a tech question in it. I'll keep it open as an act of kindness and the fact that it does pertain only to the V6's, but seriously Mark, next time please use the classifieds. Covering something up w/ a silly tech question isn't a good way to keep somethin from gettin locked. Anyways, everyone interested in what he's selling, mail him and talk to him. Anyone willing to answer his tech question, feel free.

Hey Mark....how much are you wanting for the MPFI? (And if it's reasonable for me....altho I'm broke, I CALLED IT FIRST) And what are you including w/ the MPFI? I'm imagining I can probably polish/port and all that jazz, swap it onto mine....TECH QUESTION: Is there any diff between the 2.8 MPFI's and the 3.1 MPFI's???? Anyone know? That should hold me tho till I do my 383 TPI swap. Don't worry guys, I'm gonna get another 6er, so don't call me traitor or go after my moderator job just yet.... , You'll get the smack laid down on ya South Central Style

Ked, I think I still have my old V-6 trans around here somewhere. I'll look for it and get back to you. And you don't want a bravada. You want to put a 350 in your blazer. I should have done that with my 89. It's not hard at all. If you want I can get you all of the info on that swap and get you in touch with the right suppliers.

EDIT: Oh, and Mark406, dude, invest in some spelling lessons.
