Charging Problems....
I posted something simualr to this 2-3 weeks ago, and got no realy reply on it.
Okay, my car is not on the road now. My car does not charge, and the exciter wire has good power flow, my steering column was a little sloppy (Flopped around, tilt), so my father took it apart, and put it back together, and there were not any wires with bare spots or chaffing in there...
I have no Idea why it won't charge, The ALT has been tested and has 90amps coming out of it (If I am correct)
Any Ideas, anyone,???

If your alt has tested good then you need to chase down the main power lead from the bat/alt to the fuse block and be looking for arc grounds. There has to be a broken wire somewhere, that will be the difficult part to find. first wire to check is the wire from the back of the alt to the batt. it may be broken too...easiest way to check is put a voltage meter on the battery while the car is running, it should read 13.2 at the lowest. you can also check from the back of the alt (where the wire attaches). I would check that first.
Is the gauge showing no charge or what?... GM volt gauges are usually good about being "in the ball park", if the voltage check out between the alt and the power wire to the batt then you probly have a bad cell in the battery(that will cause it to not hold a charge)

My Gauge shows exactly whats in the battery for life, the other day I had the car started and it was showing about 9-10, then I charged it a little so it wouldn't go stone dead, so its up around 11 volts, thats all the gauge will show me.
I noticed a relay behind the airbox, mounted near the Headlight, I will check that as soon as I can, maybe the power isn't making it too and from the relay.
(The bad part is we just got another 30cm of snow *sigh* how can I work in that...)
We tryed fuses, there was nothing seeming to lead us to one...

Well as I said the GM gauges are pretty good most the time..If your alt is putting out which if someone you trusted bench tested it says that it IS charging, then you need to chase the wires and find 1. the wire break, 2. the voltage relay to the battery 3. get a haynes book and double check the wires and make sure they are hooked up and the relays are not fried...
As an after thought have you had your car serviced by Penske lately?...that could be your problem there...J/K
