nope, not the swim trunk, a tech question

All of a sudden, my speedometer is acting up. It's a 92 RS with 90k miles. When I take off from a stop, the speedo needle sticks at zero until I hit about 25, then it jumps up.

Anyone have this? Any ideas?

its prolly just stuck, maybe u should try lubin it up? or..at worst and prolly not as likley, a gear inside is broken, like some of the teeth, so when it turns it doesnt connect till 25.. but unless the gear moves with the needle it wouldnt make much sense because it would be moving in a circle and would be off and on.

id try lubin it up first
