"Airbox mods" huh?
I've seen this mentioned more than once here, and I've heard only good from it. One question, how do you do this? I've checked the tech stuff here and didn't see anything. Someone wanna walk me through it? Thanks for your time.

Go here https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/index.shtml and look for the section that says Ram Air Induction.

A quick, cheap, easy thing to do is to remove your filters and take out with a 7MM socket the 2 little baffles in each airbox. The filters will get dirtier faster, but every little bit of airflow helps, right???

I gutted my airbox completely and haven't noticed the filters really complaining.. they're getting the same air as before, just more of it. (think about it, if dirt is in the air, it's getting in there one way or the other no matter what you do to try to prefilter the filters (beyond adding more filters of course)). The only thing I'm remotely worried about is water, and so far I haven't found it to be a problem. NOTE: Gutting the box even with just FRAM filters seems to have freed up some amount of power.. course it could just be psychological, but isn't the point to at least feel better about your car? I know I do. =P
