I gasket matched it and put in plenum spacers to help with the airflow too. When I pull it off to swap in a 3.4, I think I will have them buffed again, along with the Fiero valve covers and clear powdercoated.
I ditched those ugly Draglites. Got something better. Going to get a little bit of a drop soon, louvers on the window, new turn signals, new tires, new chin spoiler and I need some IROC driving lights, I have the harness, I just need the lights and brackets now.
Yes, the STB fits- it does leave a nice imprint in the hood liner though! When I first went to put it on, the mounting plates wouldn't sit flat on the strut towers. My oldest son, who is now 17, had me hold it still on the ground and he stepped on the center plate and gently bounced on it to get the legs to spread and the plates to lay flat on the towers after a couple of test fits. Clever kid. Maybe that made sure it fit under the hood, LOL!
Thanks for the compliment- just got to get the rust cut out, interior redone, paint etc... we are never done, are we?
This is a horrible photoshop of the wheels I have.
And here are the real things. Can't wait to get the tires and mount them all on the car.
what did you do with the old formula wheels? willing to part? how much? and.........my cars nothing to look at, especially after some punk stole my centercaps...well the three i had left, but it will be oneday

If you are willing to buy the wheels and pay for shipping I would gladly send them to you. Problem is I need tires for my new wheels which won't be anytime soon since i'm buying a house. I don't have anything else to set the car on other than those Formula wheels.

Very nice! It would scare me to death to go without body side moldings on my car

When I had my car painted it was my daily. Now that I purchased another car to take it's place as daily driver, I wish the moldings were removed. Amazingly, nothing serious happened to my Firebird after I had it painted because the day after I got the Metro on the road a rock cracked the windshield and then the following day someone swiped the side very lightly. That's the beauty of having a different daily, it really didn't bother me too much. Not like it would if it had been my Bird.
I completely understand that. Everytime I look at or climb into my Firebird I want to drive it now. Then...I remember what daily driving the metro has done to it and will now only take it on joy rides or car show meets. No more supermarkets, pool halls, or downtown parking ever again.
here's my pitch, no where even close to done yet, getting a new hood(aftermarket WS6 hood from 4th gen) chrome or polished iroc wheels, complete repaint, and navy blue checkered flag on top of the hood scoops of the new hood to match the interior and set the car off from others
Dear god this is so old. Lol. My car isn't even a V6 anymore.

Indeed, Mark! Good to see your paintwork is still holding up beautifully!

List sounds great. Don't care for the WS6 hood on Camaros but if you like it that is all that matters.
I never did post the finished product in this thread so here it is. I have actually lowered the car a little since this picture.
