lost this little thingie!!!

yeah, i was under the hood yesterday, and i accidently pulled off this little clip. It's on the side of the TB where the Throttle is located, it was connected to the bottom end of the throttle. Well, when the little thingie popped off it fell somewhere in the maze of engine parts. And, there's a little slide thingie that was connected to this little clip. When the clip fell off, it allowed the slide thingie to pop out, and now when the Throttle is fully open it doesn't have this little thingie to slide on. Well, the car's still acting o.k., and it shifts fine and all, but i'm wondering does this piece affect the car? i know i can go to a bone yard and pull the same piece off any other maro/bird out there, and it'll work fine, but i don't want to spend the gas yet, and i don't think that GM would put something on the car that's not needed, well, on second thought, i'm wrong about that. But is not having this little slide thingie gonna hurt the car? cause it runs fine now. thanx in advance.

Dan's go it right!
I used a paperclip to hold that piece on.
Has worked that way for MANY MILES
Use a thin paper clip, stainless steel type.
I have cruise on my S-10 Blazer.
You lost a "c" clip

Cali, you're great. That's probably exactly what it is, at least it sounds about right. So, yeah, i've now lost my cruise control. K. i was just hoping the motor wasn't going to blow up on me or anything like that.

Get a thin paper clip (or several) and twist to your hearts content. Mine is still holding up after about 4 years (on my S-10 Blazer example!)
