92 camaro mpi won't take fuel
92 camaro mpi won't take fuel
ok this started last week i refueled my car and it pushed the fuel gauge way past full but took the usual amount of fuel but then it wouldn't come off of full for a week so i just thought it was over filled and then today it fell to half a tank and was out of gas so i put 2 1/2 in the car with a gas can and went to the gas station but when i wen't to refuel it would only take 7.600 gallons before stopping and then overflowing so i know its not full but what is wrong with it. any help will be appreciated

SOunds like the sending unit is messed up. Actual overflowing is a pretty good sign that the tank is full, regardless of how many gallons you put in.
My guess is you weren't really out of gas today, there's something wrong inside your tank.

Well the pump wouldn't have anything to do with the gauge reading, and it should have a strainer on the intake to prevent clogging.
It sucks that the tanks are so hard to drop, so just checking it before it stops working entirely isn't something most people do.
