code 45!?!
code 45!?!
i have an 88 firebird, with the 2.8l engine in it, and i am totally stumped as to what is going on, please help me figure this one out.
I originally had a code 45, oxygen sensor rich. i went home last night changed out the oxygen sensor, and i am still having the same problem, only this time there is no code to go along with it. when i go up a hill it seems like the engine is running w.o.t., but i am not moving anywhere fast. it will run like this and i will only be doing 3000 rpm. i know it is not the clutch, i just had it replaced a few months ago. any clue what this might be? i have changed the oxygen censor, and i have also changed the fuel filter. someone told me that it could even possibly be just a bad tank of gas. well any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh & WOT = Wide Open Throttle... I prefer "running WFO" but that'd get censored!
