Before the next election, get a large group of people to vote against...

Oh- er, well, it's basically in your computer chip. 2 ways around it- custom burn a chip to delete the limiter, or put a switch on your VSS line so it won't report to the computer. Then, the computer won't know how fast you're going. Problem is, with your 1991's electric speedometer, your speedometer will also be disabled.

Hell, I gotta wait until a couple more years for this Davis wimp of an idiot to go away.
Same thing with that jerk little Bushie.

In the tranny or is there another one? Tranny one, pop off the cover & slip it out. It's by the speedo cable on my 1985

NOW SHE NEEDS TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT!!!
This nation needs a "National Party Girl"
I wonder what she will do for the Fourth of July?
Run naked thru the Reflecting Pool at Lincoln Memorial?
About the only good thing little Bushie has done was have a daughter as pretty and fun as her!!

Still awaiting to hear if it's the tranny governor, tho!

When did they start putting in governors in this computer?
I'm sure I've hit atleast 100MPH & no dying engine.
What's my top speed supposed to be?
Besides how fast can I go, or, more like, what is the cut off speed?

Imagine the "Party Ticket" Laura Bush could (barely) stand up for!

You drove this car on the freeway at 110 MPH & you want to go faster.
Where in New Jersey can you safely go faster anymore?
Beef up your current suspension and then decide to go faster, IT's safer.
Do you have your 1LE brake upgrade yet??

Oh, there's plenty of places.. just not during the day. The 1LE brake upgrade will cost you a fortune; and yes, you can put rear discs on your car, I did it last August. Search the archives for those messages.

AND YOU DID NOT GET POPPED!!!!!!!
MAN are you LUCKY!!!!!!
I have ONE place in LA I feel safe enough to do this type of high speed driving.
And it's only 5-7 AM Sunday morning.
Used to be able to do it on the Pacific Coast Highway, going toward Malibu, but, no more. Radar & the California Highway Patrol.

OH go to the temporary 1LE BRAKE section in the TOPICS of the 3rd gen org.
You'll see how to do it!

I REALLY HOPE you keep being that lucky. I do not recall many intelligent drivers on the Garden State Parkway.
FOR THAT MATTER OUT IN LA EITHER!!

What a concept
My Brother got tagged with radar at night time. Cops were freaking idiots.
Jersey cops really are freaking idiots.
Both I ever met.
I never race the highways anymore.
IF I would, Marina Del Rey Freeway, the 90.
Last time I raced it, I won, but blew up te engine anyway.
I never heard so many "I told you so" from my old fiance, in my life!

I do have a better and safer place, tho.
It's about 5 miles long. 3 lanes of super highway, cement divider, great views of all oncoming things.
That's why I go there, so safe.

Man, how I miss those Van Nuys Street Racing days!

Mine does also on my 1985. I'm sure I've been to 100 so far.
I need new tires and tranny work before I go high speed hunting.
I wonder if this car can go faster than my 1974 Corvette.
Shame the Firebird speedo only goes up to 85 mph.
I need to read atleast 124MPH (tops in my Corvette, so far).

On a slight downhill, in my S-10 Blazer with about 175,000 miles, I got it up to 90mph.
Same drivetrain as you.

ive gotten it up to 105 because i was following my friends mustang and he said we were crusing at 105, his speedo goes 120 and his car is a 2001 so the speedo is right. it was in the desert and no one was around for about 20 miles, just another good thing of living in the middle of no where.

Tom,
I promise ya,
I'M AS CONFUDDLED AS YOU ARE!

I can only offer my Helms book for my offer of no computer for my 1985 S-10 Blazer.
And my Blazer, too!
I still have it and there's no computer.
Would LOVE TO SEE A 1982-84 Helms book for details to this small mystery!

Besides that dump in a V-8 go have fun!!
