Is there anywhere to buy a 3.4L new, like from GM, or anywhere else??? I mean I'm sure I might to be able to find one in the junkyard, but does anyone sell this engine??? I have the 2.8 and want to do an easy swap if possible? And yes, a price would help a lot.

GM Performance Parts has an HT 3.4 crate motor for right around $1700.

It's complete minus intake, exhaust, and ignition.

I might be able to get my hands on a 3.4L V6 from a 94 Camaro that my brother totaled a few years ago. The car is currently being salvaged by a neighbor of mine. If he intends to put a V8 into it, I'm gonna ask for the engine/tranny so I can put it into my f-body. I have a question though, will the 4L60E be able to replace my 700r4? Keep in mind I'm probably gonna use the computer from the 3.4L. Should i go with the entire swap or just use the 3.4L block and use my 3.1L's intake manifold? any information is appreciated.

For the tranny answer, the "E" stands for electronic. Meaning ya gotta do something. IF it was minus the "E", you'd be in fat city.
