Maybe buying a 86 for $300.
I have the chance to buy a 86 Camaro for $300.It's the same color as my car(so I'm told,I haven't seen it yet!).The guy who owns it is driving it for now. He's selling for the 300 he needs to finish his other camaro.
The passanger door on my 89 is rusted some what under the molding running along the door.If I can buy this car will I have any problems with the doors linning up?
Also will the radiator help if I install it in my 89 and are they the same thing?
The 86 is an auto with a 305ci.
Thanks guys.

Hah, cool, good $$ deal. Yep the doors will fit, no problem. The radiator might be larger, but the inlet/outlets might be in different spots. Let us know!

Yes, different radiator.
Make sure you use a V-6 radiator. Don't modify the V-8 one.
Incidentally, I paid $300 for my starting platform. No complaints. WS6 V-8 suspension on a 3.4 V-6 car, with all stuff removed behind nose & no power door options.
It'll go fast enough.

Well; he could use the v8 one, as long he runs new hoses. It'll fit in the car.

I'm hoping to see it today before work.I've already hit the old-man up for the cash. All he could say was "we'll see!"
Thats not a "NO" in my book.I could have had it but my little girls day-care is killing me.
My 89 is in great shape except for the damn passanger door. It's not all that bad,but it's like a crack in a mirror, very noticeable!Besides,IF I can get it atleast I'll have most everything I'll need for when I build a small block for the 89.
Maybe I'll trade to my friend for his 455 powered 70's-something TA
Thanks guys.
