Oil filter information!
I don't know when I last mentioned this about our V6's and their sizes of oil filters, but I just put this info up on the Tech messageboard again. Here's a link for you guys:

Considering both filters are the same price, it makes sense to go with the larger one- altho, like I said in that message above, you'll need some extra oil.

Tom, that's so funny you guys were chatting about this topic and with those recommendations.
I've been using PF51 since 1989. They were also making PF52 same time, just condensed wasted oil filter production (the PF51). I now use the PF52. I always filled up to 4 quarts of oil.
Chevy V-8s-
YOU CAN USE THE PF35. BUT
here's the catch.
ATLEAST IN ALMOST EVERY CHEVY APPLICATION, THE PF35 will be too long and you end up scrapping the ground with it. i.e., put a hole in it.
The majority of the time, just use a PF25, it's long enough/short enough so no damage happens.
The PF 35 is used on in-line 6 cylinders (as my Wifes 1968 Camaro engine).
Why?
IF I use a PF25, I'm 1/2 quart oil SHY of 5 quarts in the engine. Her previous mechanic was always using PF 25 for her car (the guy was afucting moron). Whenever I go to change the oil, I keep hearing her go "It only take 4 1/2 quarts of oil. I know."
I keep walking "Yes, Dear".
I love my Wife, she did give us a Son!
I've been using AC oil filters since 1970's.
By using the PF35 in her car, now it takes what it should, 5 quarts.
