Little story and a tech question.

The story part of it goes like this. My and my buddy from indiana were downtown last night. Just driving around and catching up. Well on the way home we were on 290 going west toward the suburbs when i saw a bird just like mine ahead of me. I sped up and got next to him just to see how much alike our cars were. They could of been twins. Well after riding next to him for a bit i guess he got tired of me and sped up. We ended up doing a little over 100 but he never pulled away from me. I was thinking"hey this is cool, my car can at least hang with another 3.1" We ended up getting off at the same exit,p and eventually ended up talking along the side of 53 south. He had a 305TBI!! How in the world could my 3.1 keep up with him? He said he was honestly floored the whole time???

Here is my tech question. I am still having the same idle problem. My idle is jumpy when i first start it up and when i stop suddenly. So i figured it was the IAC. Well changed that and it is still doing it?? ANy ideas?

cool! so you kept up with him and he had a V8... what mods do you have on your car? that could have done it on the spot.

Hmm..easily u could have kept up... The HP rating of the 305tbi is close to us, the only large rating difference is the torque.. if you were driving the modded 3.1 u have, no problem i usually have absolutely no problems with TBI vehicles, except the highly modded ones.
