Got it emission tested today
Went and got it checked.... hehehe check this out
High rpm test
HC (ppm) standard 220 - mine - 9
CO standard 1.20 - mine - 0.05
O2 no standard - mine 0.1
low rpm
Mine:
163 HC
.99 CO
.1 O2
Not bad huh? he never finished the low speed either, he pulled the sniffer about 20 seconds into it. The high speed one ran complete tho. Guess the engine is in great shape? No additives were used and no tuneup - altho i just got done doing the tuneup after the test... she is running sweet now

25.50 for the test here in the DFW area. Well it was intesting. I bought the car 2 years ago, we built the 13.8 engine and then i sold that to a former friend with a 1992. I took the original engine and reinstalled it, he had gasket matched the intakes on it, it has a higher stall in it and what i think are 3.42:1 rear gears as i am doing 1900 rpm at 65 - but i dunno if i put the right info in. Anyways i took the car back to the shop that did the O ring for the leak... BTW its not leaking anymore. I told them about the results and the guy said yeah it had better do that. I asked what he ment, apperantly they rebuilt the engine for the lady that owned it before me 3 years ago. The engine has less then 30K on it. I asked what they did for a cam and such - he said he didn't remember but all cams they do there are always a step above stock. He said most likely it is a 2030. It has stock rockers on it - that i know. The engine WAS bored .030 over and the heads were shaved. So, to answer TomP's question yes the engine is "twinked" that was also running a stock chip, i put it back in before the test, it has a jet 2 in it now. The K&N was removed for a stock filter as well, its back in place. Its interesting as i always saw the i can't quite hold a V6 mustang posts - i can hold and sometimes pull away from em. I just always thought it was the driver - damn, that means i am not as good as i thought i was.
I ended up fixing the horn, installed a Grant GT wheel, drycleaned the carpets and seats, polished up the engine abit and will be installing a braided hose kit and fiero chrome valve covers soon - i have em but i done feel like baking in the sun yet. I did throw 6 split fires into it, man the #2 is a ***** to get to, had to remove the altinator, after that it was easy. I am REALLY thinking about having my extra intake anidized and the 2.8L emblem on it redone to say something snappy like Powered by GM or NOS on board or something nice. I dunno yet, heck its pulling high 8's in the 0 to 60 now, i may just detail the engine, get racing seats, install a twin tiller pod with instruments and a 5" tach. Get a fresh paint job, reinstall my NOS for a 35 to 50 shot and call her good. All i know is she LOVES to run
Got pic's of it now too... how do it post em?
