I was changing my egr today, and I managed to snap off one of the bolts that screws into the exhaust manifold. Should this affect my idle at all? Now my rpm's are about 200-300 higher. Will it screw anything up if I drive around with it like that for a couple of days?

I think you'll be okay for a few days; do you have the vacuum-controlled EGR (85-89 2.8)? Pull the vacuum line off the EGR valve and plug it. That way all you'll have is an exhaust leak. Make sure nothing's in the way of the new exhaust gasses; stuff that hot could melt wires or sensors.

OH WHAT FUN!
You can go get another from a yard (easiest) or remove that one, drill out the stud and replace the stud.
When I went to a yard, I saw a 2.8 sitting on the ground. Five seconds later, I was outta there!
One of those lucky visits.
Replace it from a yard. Safest secured way to spend your effort.

Yeah it's vaccum controled. Tommorow I will try and remove the stud. Would this leak make my emissions worse or better? Thanks for the info guys.
