Question, from the new guy... hahaha
All right fellow V6ers...
i have a 92 camaro RS 3.1
It runs great (IMHO) for a V6... but of course I want more...
So I was readin on here and someone "hacked" off the bottom of the air intake box... (or something like that)
mine is completely stock (K&N filter, Flowmaster 80) and i was wonderin if I could drill holes in the little canister that the air filter sits in... and would it really do me any good.... and would it screw up the computer or anything (someone told me it would)
thanks people... keep fryin rice...
hehehe

in the bottom???
why not the sides... cuz thats where the one outside inlet comes into the box...
and if i drill one in the bottom its gonna go strait into the motor and not be filtered
thats not good, right?

you have the cylinder filter
thats the one i used to have
what you should do is get the TPI style filter intake
it holds 2 filters and the entire bottom can be cut off for superior air flow!!!!!!!!
the TPI intake was available on 305/350 TPI camaros from 85-92 and 2.8 V6 camaros from 85-89
it looks like a v its cool looking 2
its a real easy swap
the hardest parts are getting a pipe to fit in between where the MAF sensor would normally go and then you just have to splice the IAT sensor wire to a longer length to reach the new sensor location hole on the TPI intake!!!!!!!!!!!hope this clarifys things!!!!!!!!!!!!!
