Need decel valve for 88 camero 2.8 L v6 engine 5 speed manual transmission. Any help where I can find one would be appreciated.

My 88 camaro needs a decel valve. Its a 2.8L v6 multi port fuel injection with a 5 speed trans.and its attached to a bracket on top of the altenator. It definitely has this part and I need it. My mechanic gave up looking for it so I'm stuck searching junk yards and surfing the web. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

i remember seeing a thread about the decel valve here in the v6 section i forgot who posted it though but if u do a search u should be able to find it

 

the part is discontinued and has been for some time , remove it and cap the lines

How is capping the lines going to solve the problem? I have the same problem and need to fix it before i can get my car smogged, i'm resorting to going to a junkyard and pulling one of another camaro and hope it works.

 

thqat valve will notmake u pass or fail inspection
