Installing Posi

how Hard? Im thinking of the zexel-torsen 99 dollar take off..This a do yourself thing or should i take it in when i do it?

Engine: 2.8 V6

Transmission: 700R4

I've heard of guys just unbolting their open carrier, and sliding the SLP take-off carrier in, and being fine. I think the theory behind it is that since the pinion nut isn't played with, and all shims are replaced, that the new carrier gets installed with the same contact pattern & backlash & etc. Maybe you could do it, and have a shop check the adjustment of the gears?

Well..the only problem i see is finding out if i have 28 spline axles...
